Double J Cap (ABCA 533304)

Double J Cap is out of Angie's open dog Double J Belle and by James Butler's Braehead Glen (son of James McGee's Glencregg Silver -- in 2014 Silver was the youngest dog to ever win the International Supreme). Cap's sire Glen was one of the winningest dogs ever in U.S. cattle dog competition, winning multiple national championships, including the 2024 NCA National Open Champion. Glen also competed at Meeker and USBCHA sheep trials. Cap was raised and trained by Guy and the two have become a strong team.  Cap works cattle and sheep with finesse, has his parents' speed, and great feel for his stock.  He's very biddable and obedient, which makes him pretty darned handy for farm work or trialing. We are excited to have Cap in our breeding program. He is a great combination of strong sheep lines and cattle lines from Ireland and North America.  Cap weighs 34 lbs and stands approximately 21" at the shoulder.  He was PennHip tested  at 22 months with a DI of .32. Cap was genetically tested via Optimal Selection. He is carrier for IGS and clear of all other breed-specific genetic disorders.  Two copies of the IGS gene are necessary to develop the disorder, so Cap will only be bred to IGS-clear females.
