Imp. Jaff (ABCA 468650)
Imp Jaff is an own-son of Ricky Hutchison's Sweep (ISDS 293085). He was imported by James Butler as a pup then trained and trialed initially by Chris Timmons. Jaff has over 5000 MSSA points with limited showing. Jaff has proven genetics AND performance. He works sheep and cattle with feel but has plenty of power. He has a correct nose and heel bite on cattle, but works with intelligence not tension. We were thrilled at the opportunity to add Jaff to our breeding program in the summer of 2025. He has passed his health testing with flying colors (genetic testing, semen evaluation, OFA hips and elbows), and we have decided to stand him at stud for outside females for 2026 and 2027. Jaff was tested through Optimal Selection, and he is clear except carrier for EOAD, so he will only be bred to females who have tested EOAD-Clear. He scored OFA-Normal for elbows and OFA-Good for hips with no sign of arthritis at 8.5 yrs of age. He weights 47 lbs and stands approximately 21" at the shoulder. Jaff has a sweet, focused, obedient temperament and gets along great with other dogs, kids, etc
