Sunrise Rio (ABCA 549207)
Rio is a daughter of Derek Westover's BC Skye who was the 2023 MSSA National Champion Intermediate Dog (Sheep, Cattle, and Ultimate Champion). Rio's sire is Annie Reynold's Imp. Kell who is by Sergio Perello's Murguia Jim. She is a combination of strong cattle line genetics from Robin Brown's Broken Circle program with excellent European sheep dog lines from Spain and Ireland. We will show her in the 2026-27 MSSA futurity/nursery class starting in the summer of 2026.
Rio is genetically clear of genetic disorders via parentage. She was PennHip tested in January 2026 and scored in the lowest percentile for laxity with a distraction index of 0.24. She weights 35 lbs stands approximately 20" at the shoulder.
